Top 5 Long Hair Secrets of Indian Women

Top 5 Long Hair Secrets of Indian Women

Today we are going to discuss about the long hair secrets of Indian Women. Being an Indian, I have seen lots of Indian women with long, black and thick hair from my childhood. Myself, as a 12 year kiddo had a waist length long black hair Razz but after that, I was getting my hair cut done once every 6 months as I couldn’t manage my long hair. My hair has a great ability to grow long fast, which is of course gifted by my mom who has knee length hair. I asked her about her long her secrets and she revealed few today morning. That’s what I am sharing with you all in this post. Nowadays, me too actually very curious about growing long hair and hence hereafter no CUT expect the 8-weeks-once split ends trims. Come let us move on to the post!

Oiling and Moisturizing:

Have you noticed most of the Indian women? Especially south Indian? They swear by virgin coconut oil. They oil their hair almost everyday to maintain moisture balance of the hair. In today’s world, no one is ready to step out with oil in their hair (Including me!) due to the limp, thin and sticky look it gives. We want our hair to be soft, flying and grease-free to make it comfortable for different hair styles. But most of the traditional women in India (like my amma) still oil their hair everyday and get a plaited hair style done. This locks the moisture in their hair and prevents hair breakage due to dryness. Though it is a myth that virgin coconut oil helps in faster hair growth, it can actually help you get long hair faster. Got confused? Let me clear it. By applying coconut oil on your scalp, you are preventing hair and scalp dryness, split ends, frizz and such. Hence, your hair stays healthy without any troubles. Dry hair is more prone to hair breakage than well moisturized hair. Then guess! If you leave your hair dry everyday, if it keeps on breaking, how would you get long hair? Your hair grows only 6 inches per year but if keeps on breaking and falling everyday, then how lng hair? But in Indian women’s case, their hair breakage is less and hence the hair grows long without any disturbance or difficulties. This give them beautiful long black hair in a shorter time when compared to others who don’t oil or moisturize their hair regularly. You can also use olive oil, apricot or almond oil for moisturizing your hair if you are not okay with the coconut oil.

Frequency of Hair Wash:

Hair wash frequency matters a lot in maintaining a healthy hair. If you want long hair, you MUST be following all the necessary rules to maintain your hair healthy and this is the only way you can achieve longer and stronger hair in a short time. Washing hair often stripes away the excess moisture from your hair and scalp, and leave them dry.  My mom takes head bath only twice a week whereas I do it everyday Grin But she said that one of her best long hair secrets is maintaining her hair wash routine only twice a week. By this, her scalp is prevented from any dryness and mainly, that itchy dandruff. In case if you are not comfortable with twice-a-week hair wash routine, wash your hair in alternate days but not everyday. And also make sure to wear a cap/scarf over your hair if you are stepping out in the sun. Sun severely damages your healthy hair if not protected.

Healthy Food Habits:
My mom swears by dates, curry leaves chutney and greens to grow long hair. She has been taking this diet from her teen-hood. Having soaked fenugreek with curd every morning in empty stomach also results in strong, shiny hair, she says. Include nuts, dates, fish and Vitamin B rich good items in your daily diet to ensure that you are following a proper way to grow long hair. You can also get a biotin capsule everyday consulting your physician to prevent excess hair loss or hair fall. I myself experienced less hair fall with the consumption of biotin.

Comb & Detangle Twice a Day

Combing and de-tangling hair twice a day ensures better blood circulation in the scalp, resulting in healthy lustrous hair outside. My mom suggests to comb hair with a wide toothed comb, especially after oiling hair. But be sure to give gentle pressures on the scalp and do not over do hair combing. Wash your hair brush/comb everyday in soap water and use it on your hair. Never ever use others comb on your hair and the same goes the the pillow, hair accessories etc. By this, you can prevent unwanted hair problems such as dandruff etc. You can also massage your hair roots and scalp with your palm and finger tips to improve blood circulation in your scalp.
No Shampoo! Only Shikakai
Still, in rural areas of India, women only use Shikakai to cleanse and wash their hair. Shikakai is a natural hair wash powder made of several natural herbs to cleanse and protect hair. From her childhood, my mom used to wash her hair with Shikakai only. This hair wash powder can be prepared at home easily without making any hole in your pocket and moreover it doesn’t contain loads of SLS, parabens and silicons unlike many store bought shampoos. ‘Where there are no chemicals, all you will be having is a healthy, damage-free hair.‘ Right? So Shikakai is definitely one of the top secret of Indian women’s long beautiful hair. Skip your shampoos for sometimes and get some Shika for your hair!

27 Recipes for Homemade Hair Growth Treatments

27 Recipes for Homemade Hair Growth Treatments ...

Hair growth treatments are one of the best ways to prevent thinning, shedding, and breakage; to ensure optimal hair growth; and to prevent potential hair loss. But, aren't treatments and products that promote fast growth expensive? Well, yes, but you don’t have to buy them! In fact, there are a lot of awesome growth treatments you can make in your own kitchen using essential oils, herbs, and even fruits and veggies! And the hair growth treatments I’m going to discuss right now are definitely worth checking out.

1. CURRY LEAVES & COCONUT TONIC

Praised and expensive, Indian hair is often said to be worth more than gold and, given the price range of most extensions, weaves, and wigs, not to mention the price of upkeep, it most certainly is! How can that be? Well, Indian ladies know the secret and it has everything to do with a plant most of put in food! Curry, that awesomely tasty spice, actually does wonders for hair growth, so in order to experience the benefits of one of the best traditional hair growth treatments yourself, see our recipe below!

Recipe: You’ll need to get fresh curry leaves and some coconut oil. Boil these two together until the black residue starts forming, then harvest this residue and apply it to your hair. Use it twice a week to replenish your hair, help it grow faster, and even fight gray hair! You don't want to fry the leaves, just boil them a bit and then harvest the black stuff.

How Often: Use twice a week.

Where to Buy: You can find coconut oil at most drugstores, some grocery stores and retailers, and in most specialty organic stores. It's also available online from specialty shops and places like Amazon. Fresh curry leaves are available at some grocery stores and specialty shops, especially those which specialize in fresh herbs or Indian food.

2. CASTOR OIL

Castor oil is one of my favorite growth treatments and I use it for everything from eyelashes to eyebrows! I’ve even used it to quickly grow a very thick section of my bangs that had been burned down completely! The oil itself is pretty greasy, which means that you might want to dilute it to avoid too much hassle. Add it to your conditioner or mix with almond oil and massage into your scalp if you’re looking for an easy way to promote healthy hair growth. You can also use the castor oil by itself, massage it into your scalp, and leave it overnight, especially if you’re dealing with some serious problems such as receding hairline, bald spots, or thinning hair.

Recipe: Apply several drops of castor oil to your scalp and massage it in thoroughly. Cover your hair with a shower cap, a silk scarf, or other covering and leave it on overnight. Shampoo and condition as usual the next morning. Alternately, mix a few drops of castor oil with olive oil or almond oil and follow the same directions. Also consider adding several drops of castor oil to your daily rinse-out conditioner.

How Often: When using the oil itself, begin with weekly treatments; when mixed with conditioner, use daily or every other day depending on your hair type and texture; to grow thicker eyebrows or eyelashes, try the treatment every day or every other day.

Where to Buy: Castor oil is available at most grocery stores, retailers, and drugstores, or you can order it online from any number of places. (Don't worry if the bottle says it's just for "regularity," it will still work for your hair!)

3. VINEGAR RINSE

Although it might seem harsh to treat your hair with something as acidic as vinegar, the truth is that hair really appreciates it due to its slightly acidic nature. Our hair’s pH varies from acidic 3.5 to neutral 5.5, which means that our alkaline hair care products tend to throw it off balance. Vinegar, on the other hand, helps hair restore its optimal pH value. It seals the cuticles, making each strand shinier, stronger, and less prone to breakage, plus it removes product buildup that literally suffocates the scalp and slows down normal hair growth. So, in order to help your hair really give its 100% in terms of both growth and quality, vinegar makes an excellent treatment. mix 1 part of vinegar and 2 parts of water and use this mixture as a final rinse.

Recipe: Mix 1 part vinegar (apple cider vinegar is the hair care favorite, since it leaves less of an odor; white vinegar works just fine; and wine-based vinegar is best for dry hair) with 2 parts water. To minimize odor, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Use as a final rinse after you shampoo.

How Often: Begin by rinsing with the vinegar treatment 1-2 times a week; over time, you'll be able to use it 1-2 times a month while maintaining ample shine, health, and growth.

Where to Buy: Whatever vinegar you choose, you'll easily be able to find it at your local grocery store, drugstore, or retailer.

4. EGG YOLK AND OLIVE OIL MASK

Rich in proteins, vitamins, and super-nurturing fatty acids, egg yolks won’t only make your hair softer, shinier, and healthier, they help you to grow it long as well. An abundance of vitamins A, D, and E will help prevent any hair loss and thicken thinning hair, while D itself promotes new growth and keeps split ends at bay. Olive oil also strengthens and softens, making it particularly ideal for dry or damaged hair. It also exfoliates your tresses while strengthening the color of your hair and maintaining the texture.

Recipe: Mix 2 egg yolks with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then dilute the mixture with about half a cup of water. Slowly, thoroughly massage the resulting mask into your scalp. After letting it set for 15-20 minutes, rinse it out as usual. You can shampoo afterward if you want to but it's not necessary.

How Often: This treatment is effective enough that you only have to do it 1-2 times each month.

Where to Buy: Your local grocery store!

5. BURDOCK ROOT OIL HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT

I’ve seen this prickly purplish flower many times before but I never knew it’s so jam-packed with nutrients and good for the hair! Can you believe burdock root contains calcium, potassium, iron, vitamins, and many other precious, hair-friendly nutrients? Well, I have a great homemade hair growth treatment for you today and I’m absolutely sure you’ll want to give it a try even if you have no growth-related problems! Why? Because it nurtures hair and helps battle some of the worst scalp problems, such as inflammation, dandruff, and skin conditions!

Recipe: Mix 1 teaspoon each of rosemary, basil, and lavender oils. Add 3-5 drops of your oil mixture with 1 teaspoon each of aloe vera gel and burdock oil. Massage the treatment into your scalp, let it work its magic over the next couple of hours (the longer you leave it on, the better), then shampoo and style your hair as usual.

How Often: Depending on your hair, you can use this treatment at least once a week, and up to 3 times.

Where to Buy: You can get the oils at your favorite retailers or aromatherapy shops; aloe vera gel is available at most drugstores, grocery stores, and retailers; and the burdock oil is available at most health food stores and a number of shops online!

6. LEAVE-IN HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT WITH ROSEMARY

This powerful herb won’t only leave your hair heavenly soft, it actually stimulates hair growth as well! It nurtures and strengthens the hair, it helps solve the problem of thinning hair, and it stimulates the scalp, which most certainly means that, if you decide to try this homemade treatment, you have nothing to lose!

Recipe: Combine 2 teaspoons of dry, crushed rosemary leaves with 300mls of water, then massage the mixture into your hair, starting at the ends and working your way up to the scalp. It's very light and not at all greasy, so you don't have to rinse it out and can use it on clean hair.

How Often: Try this treatment after you shampoo at least once a week but up to 4 times, depending on your hair.

Where to Buy: You'll find dry rosemary leaves at any grocery store!

7. BANANA MASK

Bananas are a very rich source of potassium and vitamins A, E, and C, which make them the perfect choice for homemade hair growth treatments. We all know our hair needs all of these vitamins to be healthy and grow strong, but because bananas are very rich in calories, we rarely allow ourselves to eat as much as we need. Well, here’s one very simple recipe that could and will help you enjoy fast-growing, long, and healthy hair – instead of eating that last banana, mash it and massage it into your hair and scalp! It’s a piece of cake – just pick a soft, ripe one, mash it into a paste, then apply it on your head and cover with a plastic bag. Wrap a hot towel over your head for maximum results or, in case you are out of hot towels, use a hairdryer to help your hair quickly absorb all the nutrients.

Recipe: Pick a soft, ripe banana, mask it up into a paste (use a food processor if you like, to make sure there aren't any chunks), apply it to your hair, and cover it with a plastic cap or bag. To lock in the nutrients, either wrap a hot towel around your head or remove the cap after 20 minutes and use your blow dryer long enough to help the banana set. Shampoo your hair and rinse well. Some users have reported difficulty rinsing out the banana, but if you end up with a smooth paste, rinsing should go smoothly. You can also add olive oil or almond oil to your paste, or a tablespoon of conditioner.

How Often: Try this treatment once a week for the best results.

Where to Buy: Your local grocery store!

8. COCONUT OIL AND AVOCADO

Coconut oil and avocado make a great hair treatment for several reasons. The mixture adds luster to your hair if it's dry, it gets rid of flaking and dandruff, and it keeps your hair safe from the sun, which can be just as damaging to your hair as it is to your skin.

Recipe: Gently heat the coconut oil for about 10 seconds (on the stove or with an essential oil burner, not in the microwave!), then massage one tablespoon of it into your hair from the roots to the tips. While it sets in, mash up an avocado, by hand or using the food processor; as with the banana, you want to end up with a smooth paste. Once it reaches the right consistency, massage the avocado into just the tips of your hair. Let the mixture set for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with cool water and shampoo as usual. Again, some users report that it's difficult to rinse out the avocado, but if you make sure the paste is very smooth, that helps – and don't forget to apply it to just the tips of your hair!

How Often: Try this treatment once a week for maximum results.

Where to Buy: You can find coconut oil at most drugstores, some grocery stores and retailers, and in most specialty organic stores. It's also available online from specialty shops and places like Amazon. You can get the avocado at the grocery store or the produce market!

9. ALMOND OIL

If you're trying to grow out and strengthen your hair, almond oil is a simple but effective means to do it. Almond oil is helpful because it has so many healthy fatty acids, so it makes your hair soft while strengthening it all at the same time.

Recipe: Take about a tablespoon of almond oil – more or less depending on the length and thickness of your hair – and massage it into your scalp, down to the ends of your hair. Leave it on for 15 minutes or so, then rinse your hair with cool water and shampoo as usual.

How Often: The number of applications depends on the overall condition of your hair. Use weekly for nourishment or twice a week for dry or damaged hair.

Where to Buy: Almond oil is available at most retailers and health food stores, as well as several places online.

10. NETTLE HAIR TONIC

The nettle hair tonic recipe is probably one of the most complicated hair growth treatments on this list, but it's also incredibly effective. It thickens your hair and also prevents hair loss, so it's great if you want thicker, fuller locks with lots of volume. This treatment is not recommended for blonde hair!

Recipe: Begin with an ounce of nettle leaves, two cups of white wine vinegar, and two cups of water (make sure you have lavender essential oil as well, you'll need it later). Place all the ingredients in a pan (making sure it's non-reactive), let it simmer on the stove for two hours, then let the mixture cool before you strain it. Now's the time for the lavender oil: once you've strained your nettle mixture, stir in about two drops of the oil, then decant everything in a bottle that has a tight lid. Remember to shake it well before use and massage the mixture into your scalp every other day. Let it set for as long or as little as you like; it can be left on overnight, as long as you cover your hair.

How Often: Depending on your hair, you can use this every other day. If you have dry hair, once a week is best!

Where to Buy: The white wine vinegar is available at all retailers and grocery stores, as is the lavender oil, which you'll also find at your local health stores. Find the nettle leaves at drugstores like Walgreens, drugstore.com, or a variety of health stores both online and off!

11. HENNA AND EGG SHAMPOO

Thanks to all the protein in them, eggs are generally effective in hair growth and care. But let's talk about this relatively easy to do treatment, for which you'll need natural henna powder, an egg, half a cup of lemon juice, and a cup of water. As readers have pointed out, this treatment can change the color of your hair, either a little or a lot depending on the current shade. If you want to add some richness in terms of color while promoting hair growth and thickness, go for it! Just be aware that it can alter the color of your hair!

Recipe: Begin by mixing the henna, your egg, and the water together until you've formed a paste, then let it stand for an hour. Add lemon juice and blend it in until the mixture is smooth again, then apply the paste to your scalp and hair, from root to tips. Allow it to set in for about two hours, or until the mix is completely dry. Actually, if you want to leave it on during the night, that's fine too. When you rinse it, just use cool or lukewarm water and gently work the mixture out of your hair, then shampoo as usual.

How Often: Limit your use of this treatment to every month or every other month.

Where to Buy: Eggs and lemon juice are available at any retailer or drugstore, of course! You can find henna powder at a variety of places, including hair and beauty stores, some retailers, and online shops.

12. OATMEAL HAIR MASK

An oatmeal hair mask is the simplest hair treatment you can make, although you'll need some milk and almond oil in addition to the oatmeal. It's a bit of a mess to clean up, so make sure you prepare for that in advance – but, promise, the results are worth it!

Recipe: Get half a cup of oats – or more, if your hair is long and/or thick – 1-2 tablespoons of almond oil, and a quarter to a half a cup of milk. Mix everything together, make sure your hair is tangle free and dry, and apply the hair mask from root to tip. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, rinse with warm water, and shampoo as usual.

How Often: By using this treatment once a week or every other week, depending on your hair, you'll see the maximum results!

Where to Buy: Almond oil is available at most retailers and health food stores, as well as several places online. Oatmeal is available at any grocery store or retailer, depending on what kind you want to use.

13. EGG AND YOGURT MASK

See? Eggs are great ingredients in a lot of hair growth treatments! This one is quite easy as well, requiring just one egg, a quarter cup of plain yogurt, and a quarter cup of mayonnaise. It's packed full of nutrients that promote growth and thickness, plus this is an excellent treatment for dry or damaged hair! Technically, it also includes all the components for an excellent, albeit fattening, salad dressing!

Recipe: Begin by beating your egg until it's foamy, then add in the yogurt and the mayo, blending until the mask looks smooth. Massage it into your scalp and your hair, until every inch is covered. You can use plastic or a shower cap on your head to keep from dripping, since you have to leave the mask in place for about an hour. When you rinse, use cool water and a very mild shampoo.

How Often: Use once a week for best results.

Where to Buy: All of the components are likely in your fridge right now! If not, just head to your local grocery store!

14. ONION JUICE AND HONEY HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT

This sounds odd, but it's really helpful if your hair is thinning or if you're losing it. Onions are very healthy for your hair, so remember that when you're juicing your onion! You just need a small one, and don't worry, the pungent aroma will be slightly improved by that dollop of honey you'll add once it's fully juiced.

Recipe: Juice one onion in a juicer; again, a small one will be just fine. After collecting the juice, add a 1-2 teaspoons of honey. You can either apply the mixture all over your hair or just to the spots that look thin. Leave it on overnight, and try to avoid covering it (although you can cover your pillow). Just shampoo it out the next morning – that will get rid of the smell. If you're still wary, add a drop or two of your favorite essential oil to the mixture.

How Often: Use this treatment at least once a week or as many as 3 times.

Where to Buy: Both onions and honey are available at your local grocery store!

15. COCONUT OIL AND LEMON JUICE

In addition to strengthening your hair so it will grow faster, this treatment gets rid of dandruff quite quickly. If you're looking to naturally lighten your hair, it's a great treatment to use in the summertime! However, if you don't want to change your hair color at all, just make sure to stay out of the sun immediately after using this treatment.

Recipe: Mix one part lemon juice with two parts coconut oil and massage it into your scalp. Leave it in your hair anywhere from 4 hours to overnight, then gently rinse it out with cool water. Remember when heating up your coconut oil to use the stove or an essential oil burner rather than the microwave – that kills all the nutrients!

How Often: Use this treatment at least once a week for maximum results.

Where to Buy: You can find coconut oil at most drugstores, some grocery stores and retailers, and in most specialty organic stores. It's also available online from specialty shops and places like Amazon. Lemon juice is available at any grocery story or retailer!

16. GARLIC AND CHAMOMILE TEA MASK

This seems like one of the more complicated hair growth treatments, but that's only because it uses a lot of ingredients. Because of the chamomile tea, you might not want to use this treatment if you have very light hair. It can change the color, at least on a temporary basis. If you are looking for a richer color, it offers some fantastic lowlights while strengthening and lengthening your hair!

Recipe: You'll need a tablespoon of garlic juice and three tablespoons of chamomile tea (or a tea bag, that works fine), along with a tablespoon of aloe vera gel, a tablespoon of honey, three cups of water, and one egg yolk. You can, of course, juice your garlic with a press – fun stuff! Begin by mixing the garlic juice with your honey, then place it in your fridge. Now, boil your water and the tea for about half an hour, stirring occasionally. While you let it cool, get your juice/honey mixture and stir in the egg yolk as well as the aloe. Massage this mask into your scalp and down to the ends of your hair, let it sit for 20 minutes, then wash it out using a gentle shampoo. After after that (okay, so this one is a little complicated!), rinse your hair with the chamomile, and let it stay in.

How Often: If you have the stamina, you can use this treatment once a week!

Where to Buy: Every ingredient is available either in your kitchen or at your local grocery store! The aloe vera gel is also available at most drugstores and retailers.

17. VITAMIN E HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT

This treatment relies solely on oils, so it's easy to get together once you have all the ingredients. Vitamin E is so good for your hair, especially in terms of strengthening it and repairing damage. By now we also know that rosemary is essential, and the oil is nearly as beneficial as the crushed leaves!

Recipe: Have a bottle handy and combine a quarter cup of vitamin E oil and a quarter cup of jojoba oil, then include 15 drops each of peppermint essential oil and rosemary essential oil. Cap your bottle tightly and shake the mixture, then massage it into your scalp. It's an overnight treatment, so the next morning, just rinse with cool water and shampoo as usual. Protip: you can buy vitamin E capsules and either break them, press them, or piece them to get to the oil.

How Often: Gently massage this treatment into your scalp every night for the best results. For oily hair, 2-3 times a week is fine.

Where to Buy: All the ingredients are available at health food stores, most retailers, and health and beauty shops online.

18. ESSENTIAL OILS RECIPE

There are actually lots of hair growth treatments that rely on essential oils. This one requires essential oils of thyme, rosemary, cedar, grapeseed, and jojoba. It's fantastic for softening your hair in addition to making it stronger and promoting hair growth. Although it takes a bit of time to get all the components together, you'll have enough to make lots of the mixture!

Recipe: Mix two drops of the thyme, three drops of the rosemary, two drops of the cedar, an ounce of the grapeseed, and a tablespoon of the jojoba in a tight bottle or bowl. That way you can safely store it for later use. All you have to do is massage the mixture into your scalp every night, then rinse in cool water and shampoo as usual the next morning.

How Often: Gently massage this treatment into your scalp every night for the best results. For oily hair, 2-3 times a week is fine.

Where to Buy: All of the essential oils in this recipe are available at health stores as well as online retailers!

19. CAFFEINE SHAMPOO

This growth treatment requires caffeine powder – and believe me, it definitely gives your hair a serious wake up call! You can use the shampoo as requently as you like; in no time at all, you'll see some serious growth!

Recipe: Mix 4 teaspoons of caffeine powder in eight ounces of shampoo and suds up as usual. You can also mix the caffeine powder in a spray bottle with eight ounces of water, and spritz it on 10-15 minutes before showering.

How Often: You can use this treatment each time you shampoo, but don't use it more than once a day. Protip: if you start experiencing headaches, you're using too much spritz or shampoo. Stop for a few days (or up to a week), then try again using 2-3 teaspoons of caffeine powder instead.

Where to Buy: Caffeine powder is available at most health and wellness stores, several retail stores, and at many shops online, including Amazon.

20. MAYO MASSAGE

All you need for this hair growth treatment is mayonnaise! It doesn't matter what kind. You can definitely use what you have in your fridge! The eggs in the mayo give this treatment its protein packed fuel, plus the oils make for silky soft hair that's ready to grow, grow, grow!

Recipe: Get your hair damp – just damp, not soaking – with warm water, then basically just rub the mayo into your scalp and down to the ends of your hair. Use as much or as little as you want. Once done, either use a shower cap or some plastic wrap to cover your head – that traps the heat, so the mayo will really get in there and penetrate. Let it set for 20 minutes or so (it's really up to you), then wash it out with a gentle shampoo, or a shampoo that's been diluted.

How Often: Use every week to nurse dry, over-processed hair back to health; bi-weekly of you have normal or combination hair; and not more than once per month if you have oily hair.

Where to Buy: Any grocery store near you!

21. LEMON AND OLIVE OIL MASK

If you experience dandruff, you can whip up this super easy hair mask to hydrate your scalp and help get rid of flakes. Even if you get the occasional bout of flakes from the weather or stress, this is the perfect treat for your tresses.

Recipe: Mix 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice, 2 Tbsp olive oil and 2 Tbsp water, and massage into damp scalp to stimulate. Wrap in a warm, damp towel and let mixture sit for 20 minutes, then rinse and shampoo hair.

How Often: Try massaging this treatment into your hair about once a week.

Where to Buy: You can probably find the ingredients in your kitchen or at any grocery store.

22. CARBONATED WATER RINSE

Frizzy hair can be quite hard to tame so when your hair gets to be unruly, try this simple rinse. Carbonated water works like apple cider vinegar where it has a low pH level so that it helps to reduce frizz without the unpleasant smell like ACV. This hair rinse will also clarify your hair and leave it soft and shiny.

Recipe: Pick up a bottle of non flavored carbonated water to rinse with. After you wash your hair, give it a final rinse with a mixture of regular water and carbonated or sparkling water. So, use half regular water and half carbonated water, the longer your hair is the more you will need!

How Often: This can be used a few times a week after you wash and air dry your hair.

Where to buy: Any grocery store

23. BEER RINSE

The next time you have some spare time and a spare beer, put them to good use and try this awesome hair rinse! Believe it or not, beer is great for dry and frizzy hair. Dark colored beers contain lots of nutrients and natural sugar which can leave you with shiny strands.

Take one cup of flat, room-temperature beer and work into hair after shampooing, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse with cold water (which helps eliminate the smell and boost shine).

How Often: Using the beer rinse once or twice a week at most should leave hair lustrous and strong.

Where to buy: Any grocery or liquor store.

24. OLIVE OIL AND HONEY

You've already been introduced to these two emollient ingredients in other hair treatment recipes but they also work great together. Honey is thick and the olive oil is quite thin so they balance out each other perfectly and enhance the benefit of each ingredient.

Recipe: Pour about 5 tbsp. olive oil into a small bowl.Add small drops of honey, whisking constantly and continuing to add honey until the consistency of the mask is smooth, not overly sticky and manageable.Massage the mask into damp hair until evenly distributed and fully saturated.

Cover hair with a shower cap, plastic wrap or a plastic grocery bag. Allow the mask to soak in for 90 minutes.Rinse the mask completely out of the hair and thoroughly shampoo.

How Often: Use this deep conditioning treatment weekly or even twice weekly for dry hair. You can also adjust the amount of olive oil and honey according to your hair's needs.

Where to Buy: At your local grocery store or your kitchen.

25. ALOE VERA LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

This is another hair treatment recipe that's easy to make and very effective. Aloe vera has a lot of benefits for hair including conditioning, reducing dandruff and promoting hair growth. This hair treatment works great to detangle, condition, define curls and calm itchy scalps.

Recipe:
Add 4 oz. water and 4 oz. aloe vera gel to a small bowl and stir lightly with a spoon. Pour the contents into a spray bottle and shake. Add 10 drops of any essential oil of your choice and shake lightly again.

How Often: Use this daily or as often as you like.

Where to buy: Look for 100% aloe vera gel at health food or drugstores.

26. COCONUT MILK AND ROSEMART HAIR MASK

This hair mask is unique in that it calls for coconut milk, vitamin E oil and rosemary which are all effective yet underutilized in hair treatments. Coconut oil is really big in the hair world, but coconut milk is also fortifying and makes an incredible conditioner.

Recipe: Measure out 3/4 cup of Coconut Milk and 2 teaspoons of rosemary leaves. Place the coconut milk and rosemary leaves into a small saucepan. Cover with a lid and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes, stirring frequently as to not burn the coconut milk.

Strain the infused coconut milk from the rosemary leaves into a small glass container. Stir in about 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E Oil.

To use: cleanse your hair as you normally do and towel dry. Massage in half of the hair mask and comb through your hair. Place a shower cap on your hair and allow the mask to work its magic for at least 1 hour to overnight. Rinse your hair with warm water for several minutes and style as usual (you can also cleanse your hair if you need to). Store the remaining amount of the hair mask in the refrigerator and use within 10 days.

How Often: One batch of this treatment is enough for two treatments so you can do two treatments in 10 days.

Where to Buy: You can find these ingredients at your local grocery or health food store.

27. VODKA HAIR TREATMENT

You can do more with vodka than just use it to make mixed drinks. Vodka actually lowers the pH in your hair to help the cuticles close so you're left with glossy locks. Vodka also helps with eliminating frizz, reducing dandruff and build-up on the scalp.

Recipe: Add a shot glass worth of vodka to your deep conditioner (if you don't have a deep conditioner on hand, try mayonnaise, eggs, avocado, or honey.) Stir in a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
Spread through hair and rinse after 20 minutes.

How Often: Use this treatment once a week or every two weeks to add some luster and shine to your locks.

Where to buy: Your local grocery or liquor store.

I absolutely love the fact that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a really good product that works. Plus, knowing how wonderful all of these ingredients are, I have no doubt that the aforementioned hair growth treatments will make a lot of women happy! Are there any awesome hair growth treatments I haven’t mentioned here? Please, do tell!

Indian Hair Growth Secrets.

Indian Hair Growth Secrets

Practicing Ayurveda can promote hair growth and health.
Many of India's "hair growth secrets" derive from the little known alternative medical science known as Ayurveda. Ayurveda, a set of health principles based on 5,000 years of study, advocates a health plan based on natural herbs, healing and exercise. Yoga is a well-known practice that derives from Ayurveda, and hair growth solutions and tips are very commonly sought in the Ayurveda science field, according to the Indian Hair Growth website.

Dhatu and Balance
A large and important part of Ayurveda philosophy is keeping every aspect of the body properly functioning. Dhatu is the component responsible for bone and hair growth, and constitutes the organ, muscle and skin tissues of the body. There are several levels of Dhatus, starting with the mouth and digestive system (Rasa) and proceeding downward to where bodily toxins are excreted (Malas). If one of these Dhatus is not functioning properly or doesn't receive proper nurtition, the rest of the body suffers. Therefore, according to Ayurveda philosophy, in order to have healthy hair growth, every other part of the body, especially your digestion, must be in good working order.

Herbs and Spices for Hair Growth
Ayurveda endorses natural, homemade ingredients to promote healthy hair growth. Ashwagandha, known outside of Ayurveda as winter cherry or Indian ginseng, is a particularly well-known herb within alternative medicine, boasting all sorts of health benefits, particularly in hair growth. Application of Indian ginseng allows healthy blood flow to the scalp, which reduces inflammation, helps rejuvenate hair and promotes good follicle cell growth. Other herbs include Eclipta alba and Gotu Kola. Eclipta alba strengthens hair against breakage, and Gotu Kola nourishes hair as a natural conditioner.

Healthy Foods and Cooking for Hair Growth
The things you eat can also promote hair growth, according to the Indian Hair Oil website. Black pepper and cumin are examples of spices that improve hair health. You can add a pinch of these spices to your favorite foods, such as soups and various meats. Olive oil and coconut oil are also beneficial in this case, both of which you can either ingest or apply directly to your hair and scalp before showering. Methi leaves can also be beneficial when applied directly to your hair and scalp; after rinsing out a handful of methi leaves, add pepper, a couple of drops of lemon juice and salt. Bring these ingredients to a boil, churn in a juice and drink regularly. Finally, as a common-sense rule, eating healthy is vital to healthy hair growth, so making vegetables and fruits a habitual part of your diet is beneficial.

Other Tips
Avoid foods with artificial preservatives, as preservatives and chemical additives make it difficult to supply nutrients to the body. Similarly, avoid shampoos and conditioners with harsh chemicals.

Apply a warm oil massage to your scalp a couple times a week to rejuvenate your scalp and hair. Substitutes for massage oil can include raw milk, almond oil, olive oil and coconut oil.

Brushing your hair regularly and in all directions will help get blood flowing to your scalp and thus promote hair growth.

Grow Hair Faster – Fifteen Long Hair Secrets

Do you want to learn how to grow hair faster?
Do you want to know all of my long hair secrets? Do you dream of having long, healthy, beautiful hair?
Well, you can stop dreaming and start growing,
because it is not that hard to do.

The hardest part is having the patience to wait, because no matter what you’ve been told – human hair can only grow so fast. Nothing is going to make your hair grow long overnight, but there are definitely some things you can do to help you grow hair faster. Here, you’ll learn the long hair secrets, which start with the following fifteen key steps on how to grow long hair fast.

1. The first step to grow hair faster, is to stop damaging it. Damage can come from heat styling (flat irons, curling irons, and blow dryers are a long hair don’t), brushing hair when wet, brushing or combing too roughly by ripping through knots and tangles, shampooing every day (yes, really), using accessories like metal barrettes, rubber bands, or claw clips to put your hair up, or putting your hair into tight hairstyles. If you want to grow long hair, healthy hair, you need to give these things up. If you absolutely must blow dry your hair, do so on the lowest setting and air dry your hair as much as possible before finishing it up with the blow dryer.

2. If your hair is already damaged, your best bet is to get a fresh start by cutting the damage off. At the very least, start your long hair growth journey by getting a trim, but if your hair has split ends, is dry, frizzy, or fragile, cut off as much as you need to to get to healthy ends. This is the hard part, but well worth it to start off with healthy hair ready to grow rather than fight a losing battle of trying to save damaged hair. You’ll likely lose length to breakage along the way anyway when dealing with damaged hair, so you might as well just start fresh. Remember, the key to this journey is patience.

Once you start to grow long hair, it’s up to you whether you’d like to give up trimming until absolutely necessary (in order to retain as much growth as possible), or to trim regularly (to maintain healthy ends), or to trim by the lunar calendar.

3. If you are serious about growing long hair, you need to embrace your hair as it naturally is (your natural hair type). This means giving up chemicals to change the color or texture of your hair. While there are exceptions, most people will find that they need to decide between using chemicals and having long hair, because most hair types are not strong enough to withstand the repeated damage and still grow to any significant length.

So to reiterate point number one – stop damaging your hair. This means no perm or straightening solution and no peroxide or ammonia. You can consider altering your hair color using no-peroxide no-ammonia color, BAQ (body art quality) henna (which actually improves the condition of hair), or other natural ways (honey lightening, etc.). And if you absolutely must use chemical color, you may be able to protect it from peroxide damage by liberally applying coconut oil before you color. For more information on coconut oil for hair and to prevent peroxide damage, download your copy of the Long Hair Secrets book, now.

4. Protect your hair from chlorine and saltwater. Give your hair a good soaking in fresh water before you swim, and if possible use a deep conditioner and then stick it up under a swim cap. If you can, wash your hair with a chelating shampoo as quickly as you can afterwards, and at the very least, give it a good rinse in fresh water after exposure and wash as soon as possible. Condition afterwards.

5. Protect your hair from the sun and wind. If you are going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time, either use a UV protectant, or cover your hair. Or consider using a deep conditioner taking advantage of the heat to help it soak in. If you are going to be in windy conditions, braid or bun your hair, or wrap it up in a scarf or under a hat. Nothing causes split ends and tangles like wind does!

6. Treat your body right from the inside out. Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and get enough rest. Make sure you are getting enough protein, healthy fats, and water each day. Your body needs to be healthy and nourished and performing at its best in order for it to put energy towards growing hair. Give yourself every advantage you can, by taking care of yourself. Consider using hair vitamins to aid in your overall health and your hair growth.

To find out the supplements I swear by to grow hair, download the Long Hair Secrets E-book, now. You can get overwhelmed with trying to figure out exactly which hair vitamins to take and how much you need, you can waste money on store brand “hair vitamins” which do nothing….or you can read my E Book and learn the two hair vitamins supplements that I swear by…that truly work.

7. Increase blood flow! Exercise, which increases your blood flow, is known to increase the rate at which your hair grows. Get your blood pumping, get those endorphins flowing, and get growing. Regular scalp massage will increase the blood flow and stimulate the follicles. In fact, if this is the only long hair secret you choose to follow, and you do it regularly, you will notice pretty quickly that you are able to grow hair faster – just from this one simple trick.

If you sign up for the Long Hair Secrets newsletter in the sidebar,  I’ll send you my detailed tutorial on how to do a proper scalp massage that WILL help you grow hair faster.

8. Baby your hair, especially when wet. Do not brush your hair when it is wet, don’t rub your hair dry with a towel, instead gently pat it and let it air dry before combing and untangling. Never rip your brush through your hair or pull your brush or comb through a knot or snarl. Always gently detangle, using hair safe combs and brushes, and start from the ends and work your way up.

Treat your hair like precious, fine, antique lace. Remember, as your hair grow s longer it is getting older and older and has been through a lot. Even hair that has been treated gently for many years has been through many, many washes, brushings, tangles, etc. – so be gentle!

9. Stretch the time between washings. Yes, really. The majority of people who grow long hair do not wash their hair daily. Many don’t use shampoo at all – instead they may CO (use conditioner only). Try washing your hair every other day, instead of every day, and as time goes on and your hair adjusts to that, see if you can stretch it out even further. Also, consider using the CWC method – which means condition, wash, condition.

Use shampoo only on your scalp area, and diluting it is helpful. Let the suds wash down over your length as you rinse, that’s all the “washing” it needs. As your ends get older, they get drier, and do not need the harsh washing agents in shampoo to get them clean. A good rinse is all they need. Don’t pile your hair on your head when you wash, either.

10. Don’t use hot water on your hair. Wash in as cool water as you can comfortably handle, and rinse in as cold as you can stand. This will allow the cuticle to smooth out and lie flat – giving you shinier and more manageable hair. This will not only help you grow hair faster, but is also better for your skin as well.

11. Consider switching to gentle, natural hair products in lieu of, or in tandem with, your typical mainstream products. The use of oils, organic products, vinegar, natural aloe vera gel, and others go a long way to preventing damage and helping you to grow your hair long, strong, healthy, and most of all…beautiful.

12. Deep condition, at least once per month, and optimally once a week. Whether you use a conventional deep conditioner or a homemade recipe, it is important to baby and pamper your hair as it grows. As an added bonus in my first email, I’ll share my absolute favorite with you – the most moisturizing conditioner you’ll ever need – a true Long Hair Secret.

13. Eliminate long-hair sabotaging things like tangles while you sleep (braid it or bun it when it gets long enough and use a satin or silk pillow case or sleep cap), getting it caught under your backpack or purse strap, friction (from things like rubbing against your office chair), etc.. These kinds of sabotage will keep you from growing long hair unless you eliminate them.

14. Whenever possible, wear your hair up. As it grows you will have more and more styling possibilities for wearing your hair up. There are many different styles of braids, buns, and other up-do’s. You can use different hair safe hair toys like hair sticks, hair forks, Ficcares, and the like, and the results are beautiful hair styles that protect your hair at the same time.

Keep in mind that wearing your hair loose leaves it susceptible to damage, and while I’m sure your goal is to grow long hair, that is shiny and beautiful so you can wear it flowing down your back…along the way your best bet it is to keep it safely tucked up as much as you can in order to grow long hair fast.

Also, at different periods of growing you may hit awkward stages – a point where you just do not like the way your hair is looking and you may be tempted to cut – if this happens, wearing it up for a few weeks and not looking at or concentrating on your hair will get you through this period.

15. If you are tempted to cut, heed the “two week rule.” When an impulse strikes, whether it be that you are unhappy with the stage your hair is at, unhappy with the rate of growth (be patient!), or swayed by a trendy style or a persistent hair stylist or friend, please wait at least two weeks before making the appointment to cut.

Give yourself time to really think it through, and be absolutely certain that a cut is what you want to do – and will want, in the long run. Remember this: if your hair is in an awkward stage or you are frustrated that it isn’t growing quickly enough, cutting it will not solve your problem – but putting it up and forgetting about it for a while, will. Believe me, you will go through a period of indecision, and that’s normal, but if your true goal is to grow your hair long, you need to be patient and stay on course.

It’s fine of course, if you change your mind and choose to cut – but nothing is worse than impulsively undoing the last few months’ (or years’) worth of growing efforts and then regretting it. You may be here looking for information on how to grow hair fast for that very reason (and I’ve been there myself, no worries).

How to Make Your Hair Grow Faster: 5 Ways to Make Hair Grow Long Faster.

How to Make Your Hair Grow Faster

5 Ways to Make Hair Grow Long Faster.

Long healthy hair is a sign of beauty, vitality, and youth. Whether you’re anxious to get movie-star-caliber locks, combating problems with hair growth, or simply trying to put a catastrophic haircut behind you, there are a variety of natural and medicinal strategies you can use. The information below outlines steps you can take today to help your hair grow faster.

Method 1 of 5: Follow a Healthy Hair Diet

1 Eat a balanced amount of protein every day. Protein is essential for healthy hair growth. Just make sure you eat the right amount.
Hair is largely composed of keratin, a protein made up of amino acids. To grow new hair, your body must produce more amino acids, which it can only do from consuming protein.
Healthy protein sources include lean meat, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, and soy products. Ensuring you have enough protein in your daily diet, the protein will literally give your body the building blocks for new hair growth.

2 Be sure to eat adequate amounts of iron and zinc. Iron and zinc deficiencies can lead to poor hair health or even hair loss in addition to conditions such as anemia.
Iron is essential for the transmission of oxygen to your cells (including your hair follicles) and helps your body use protein to build strong hair. Animal sources, such as lean meats, poultry, and eggs are most readily absorbed by your body, but good vegetarian sources include beans, lentils, tofu, and soybeans.
Zinc helps your body grow and repair tissue, such as your hair, and keeps the oil glands around your hair follicles working as they should. Get your zinc from peanut butter, lean meat, oysters and crab, poultry, pumpkin seeds, or chickpeas.
If you have a zinc or iron deficiency, you may need supplements that should only be taken under the direction of a health professional. Many people can achieve healthy levels of iron and zinc by eating the above-mentioned foods or by consuming fortified grain products, such as cereal, bread, and pasta.

3 Don't cut fat out of your diet. Healthy fats are indispensable to hair growth. Without fat in your diet, your body cannot maintain healthy hair.
Fat is also very important to the body because it helps it assimilate vitamins that are necessary for hair growth, like Vitamins A, D, E, and K.
Be sure to limit your fat into to a healthy level and focus on unsaturated fats and fatty acids such as Omega 3.
4Make sure you meet your recommended daily intake of Vitamin C. Having a Vitamin C deficiency can cause dry, dull, and weak hair that is prone to breakage.
Your body uses Vitamin C to build collagen, a fiber essential to the production of new hair cells. Without Vitamin C, your body will also have a hard time absorbing iron, so it's doubly important to make sure you get your daily dose, particularly in combination with iron-rich foods.
Good sources of Vitamin C include citrus fruits, pineapples, strawberries, guava, broccoli, kale, and peppers.

5 Take B vitamins to avoid hair loss. Anecdotally, B vitamin supplements and topical applications have gained a significant following among those trying to speed up hair growth.
Though there is little scientific evidence that increased consumption of B Vitamins such as riboflavin and biotin actually leads to healthier hair, deficiencies of these vitamins can lead to hair loss or thinning. Consult with your physician before taking any supplements since hair loss could be a result of something other than a Vitamin B deficiency.
Good sources of B vitamins include seafood, spinach, oatmeal and other whole grains, soybean products, lean dairy, lean meats, bananas, lentils, potatoes (with the skin), peas, beets, broccoli, and artichokes.

6 Have realistic expectations about your dietary changes. What you eat will not affect the hair that has already grown, but it will affect new growth. Dietary effects on hair may take up to 6 months to be visible even though changing your diet may begin affecting the growth of hair in a much shorter time period.
EditMethod 2 of 5: Promote Growth by Minimizing Stress

1 Maintain good general health and avoid stress. Eat well, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep to reduce general physical stress levels. Intense physical or emotional stress can cause hair growth to slow or shut down completely. In severe cases, stress can cause hair loss.
Extended fatigue, dietary deficiencies, and sleep deprivation can trigger your body to go into a survival mode where it exclusively devotes its energy to maintaining essential bodily functions and organ repair, leaving your hair malnourished and unprotected from damage and loss.
When your body has adequate stores of nutrients required for healthy hair and does not need to devote energy and nutrients to simply keeping you awake, it can utilize those nutrients to build and protect your hair. The better your nutrition and general health, the more likely your body will be able to construct healthy hair quickly.

2 Identify specific physical stressors. Certain physical stressors, such as excessive dietary supplementation or overuse of certain over-the-counter medications, physical trauma, and hyperactivity can stress the body to the point of shutting down hair production and growth.
If you are experiencing one of these factors, address the physical condition to reduce strain on your body before focusing on promoting swift hair growth. Slow or unhealthy hair growth or hair loss may be signs that your body needs to heal itself in another area before devoting nutrients and energy to quickly constructing hair.
In many cases, hair growth will return to previous rates after recovery or following the removal of the physical stressor. For instance, someone suffering from the physical trauma of a car accident may notice slow hair growth for several months, but once the wounds have healed (and emotional stress is also addressed), hair growth should return to normal.

3 Learn how to effectively manage emotional stress. Emotionally stressful events, such as the loss of a loved one, a change in employment, feeling a lack of security, or worrying about not having a safe place to live, can all cause slowed or halted hair growth until the body is able to adjust. Removing emotional and psychological stressors can help give your body the environment it needs to produce healthy and rapid hair growth.

4 Be patient. It may take several months to see visible slowing of hair growth or even hair loss because of extreme or chronic stress, but that doesn't mean that stress levels should be ignored. It generally takes many months to repair the damage that stress inflicts on your hair so the sooner you start reducing your stress levels and learning how to relax on a daily basis, the better chance you'll have of promoting faster hair growth.

Method 3 of 5: Address Possible Health Issues

1 Make sure your slow hair growth or hair loss is not caused by a medical problem. If you have a medical condition or prolonged illness, prescription medication, substance abuse disorder, eating disorder, genetic or family history, or other serious medical situation that may be causing slow hair growth or hair loss, consult a physician before beginning any hair growth regimens. In some cases, resolving an underlying medical condition can help hair growth return to normal or speed up.
Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist whether your health condition may cause slow hair growth, thinning, or hair loss. Some diseases, such as diabetes or lupus, can cause problems with hair growth, and certain individuals experience the loss of clumps or large portions of their hair.
If you are suffering from a chronic health condition that has this side effect, discuss possible methods for preventing hair loss with a doctor before beginning over-the-counter hair growth treatments or significantly altering your diet. Certain hair growth supplements or dietary change efforts may negatively impact your health because of your current condition.

2 Ask a physician or pharmacist if your medication may be the culprit. Birth control pills, heart medications, gout treatments, blood pressure medications, arthritis pills, and depression medications can cause hair loss or growth problems. If hair loss or thinning is a side effect you have noticed, inform your doctor and discuss a possible change in prescription.

3 Get checked for a scalp infection. Scalp infections, such as ringworm, can infect the skin and hair on your scalp and slow or prevent healthy hair growth.
If you suspect you have this or another fungal infection, discuss using an oral or topical anti-fungal medication to treat the condition before focusing on hair growth treatments. In many cases, once ringworm is treated, hair begins to grow normally again.

4 Avoid highly restrictive diets unless advised by a physician. Eating disorders, restrictive fad diets, crash diets, fasting, and certain nutrition-related illnesses can cause slow hair growth and even hair loss. If your nutrition is sub-optimal due to any of these conditions, discuss proper nutrition with a physician or dietitian before beginning hair growth regimens.

5 Ask your healthcare provider whether your hair issues may be caused by hormonal fluctuations or imbalances.
Hormonal changes, such as menopause, a change in birth control use, pregnancy or childbirth, thyroid problems, or elevated levels of testosterone, can cause hair thinning, loss, or slow hair growth.[9] In many cases, balancing your hormones will return hair growth to normal.
Growth naturally slows with age, so if that your hair loss is caused solely by natural hormonal changes related to age, maximizing hair growth through diet and nutrition is the best treatment.

Method 4 of 5: Minimize Styling Damage

1 Style your hair in moderation. Hair may begin to grow more slowly or may even fall out more frequently when certain styling techniques are used, making hair appear to grow more slowly overall. Frequently styling and cleaning your hair in harsh ways may cause hair loss, thinning, or damage. Although occasional use of the following techniques may not cause problems, repeated use of or the regular combination of multiple techniques below may exacerbate damage. In most cases, this damage is reversible, but because hair grows slowly it will take time to restore your hair's natural health if you regularly used these styling methods.

2 Avoid perming, crimping, chemically or mechanically straightening, curling, and bleaching or repeatedly coloring hair. These treatments can weaken hair strands and stress hair follicles, leading to increased hair breakage and even hair loss. Hot styling tools can cause damage very quickly, so air dry or manually style hair whenever possible.

3 Brush or comb hair no more than twice per day. Excessive or improper brushing and combing can pull hair out prematurely, preventing quick and natural gains in hair length that gentler or less frequent brushing may allow.
Avoid pulling harshly or detangling without the assistance of a conditioner or detangling spray.
Always hold hair in one hand, if it is long enough, while brushing or combing with the other to prevent pulling hair out from the root.

4 Do not use rubber bands to hold hair back or to style hair. The rubber can snag the hair and cause it to break or dislodge at the root.

5 Avoid hairstyles that pull hair tightly, such as cornrows and tight ponytails. These styles can put stress on the hair follicle and damage or break your hair at the root or further down the strand. Ask your hairdresser for alternate style options that will reduce the pull on your roots, minimize the need for hair treatments and hot styling tools, and reduce opportunities for hair breakage.

6 Choose hair products carefully and follow proper hair hygiene. Keeping hair clean and healthy allows your hair to continue growing and reduces breakage and loss.
Most people should not wash their hair more than 3 or 4 times per week. African Americans and those with curly, dry, or coarse hair may need to wash their hair even less frequently, as natural oils are essential for strong and healthy hair.Oily haired people should wash hair more often but should not over-wash their hair as that makes the condition worse. Over-washing can cause hair to lose moisture, leaving it prone to breakage and split ends. A dry shampoo like Batiste takes care of the oiliness while giving hair volume and shine.
Using oils like coconut, avocado, almond, olive, or jojoba in the hair before or after washing really does improve the condition in hair and minimizes your chance of getting splitting hair or damaged hair. Using some oil on the ends of your hair before applying heat styling tools helps to keep the ends healthy. Try experimenting with some oils and see which one is right for you.

7Trim your hair. Regularly trimming hair to remove split ends (at most every 10 to 12 weeks) can help prevent split hairs from traveling further up the strand, weakening the hair and making it prone to breakage. Trimming hair does not promote faster growth, but may help prevent hair damage that can lead to the appearance of slower or less healthy hair growth.

Method 5 of 5: Try a Hair Growth Supplement or Medication

1 Consider an over-the-counter or prescription hair growth treatment. In most cases, medications are not necessary for improving hair growth (and may even have adverse or unnoticeable effects). Many people will be able to achieve faster, healthier hair growth by regulating their diet, behavior, and stress levels. If your hair loss or slow hair growth has a medical cause or if you have tried natural methods without success, however, you may be a candidate for hair growth medication or supplements. Before beginning any of the treatments below, including the herbal remedies, it is important to consult a physician or health professional.

2 Try a homeopathic remedy for hair growth. Although many natural therapies for hair growth are anecdotally recommended for hair growth, they have not been scientifically demonstrated to increase hair growth.
Supplements and natural treatments such as biotin, masques and creams made of household foods and oils, herb waters, and vitamin or mineral supplements may help some individuals achieve faster hair growth.
In some cases, such treatments may promote healthy hair through topical application, but there is incomplete evidence to suggest such treatments help hair grow faster.

3 Buy Rogaine at a drugstore. Rogaine (minoxidil) is the only over-the-counter (non-prescription) topical treatment shown to increase hair growth and prevent hair loss in some people, and it is safe for both men and women to use.

4 Ask your doctor about corticosteroid injections or ointments, Finasteride, Anthralin, or other prescription-strength drugs.
Corticosteroid ointments or injections are available through physician offices for certain causes of hair loss, and have been shown to stimulate hair growth in some patients.
If you have a diagnosed hair loss condition such as alopecia, prescriptions like Finasteride or Anthralin may speed up hair growth but must only be used as prescribed. Women should not take Finasteride.

Hair Growth Blocking Secret: Triclosan.

Hair Growth Blocking Secret: Triclosan

If you've been diligently trying to naturally grow your hair longer, but having unexplained difficulties, there may be a secret reason.
The secret reason? Triclosan.  This popular antibacterial has specific properties which may be causing your hair growth difficulties.
The FDA recently announced studies regarding triclosan which is found in just about everything from antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer to toothpaste, cosmetics, shampoo, hair care products, clothing and plastics.
Other locations where triclosan lurks?  Plastic cutting boards, stay fresh finishes on sports clothing, socks, towels and bedding.
According to an article in First For Woman magazine, "government researchers found evidence of triclosan in the urine of nearly 75 percent of the people they tested."
First For Woman quoted Paula Baillie-Hamiliton, M.D., Ph.D. author of {{asin=B000EPFVV4,text=Toxic Overload}} who states "triclosan is a toxic organ chlorine chemical that has been registered with the EPA as a pesticide since 1969."

Triclosan Can Block Healthy Hair Growth

This ingredient can cause the blockage of healthy hair growth due to the fact, according to Hamiliton, that "preliminary studies suggest that it acts as an endocrine disrupter, impeding thyroid function and impairing metabolism."
It's a well-known fact that when the thyroid or the endocrine system is disrupted there can be life altering symptoms including the potential for unexplained hair loss, stunted hair growth, skin breakouts and even potential chronic hair growth disruptions.

Other Triclosan Symptoms

The threat of a compromised thyroid or endocrine system due to exposure to triclosan is very dangerous.  However, triclosan has also been found to cause other problems besides slowing down or potentially stopping natural hair growth due.
The chemical is also considered the cause behind brain fog, mood swings, weight gain, unexplained fatigue, unexplained headaches and other life challenging conditions.
Triclosan is stored in the body as fat.  This means when fat is burned the chemical may be broken down and released into the bloodstream.

Blocking Triclosan Effects On Thyroid, Metabolism & Hair Growth

The good news about discovering the impact of triclosan is that it's exposure can be minimized.
Read the labels on every product you use in order to potentially block triclosan from entering your body.  If you can limit the exposure to triclosan you can also minimize the disruption to your thyroid and natural hair growth cycles.
If a product lists triclosan on the label, look for an alternative product which doesn't have the ingredient.
First For Woman pointed out in a 2009 report by the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Consumer Products that an estimated 25 percent of lotion which contains triclosan is absorbed directly through the skin.
This known toxin dissolves readily in fat, so oils on the skin and in lotion help usher the chemical directly into the bloodstream and the body.  Which is another good reason to start reading labels.

Strengthening Your Body To Block Triclosan Symptoms

Another plan to avoid triclosan damage is to eat a healthy and nutritious food plan which supports healthy hair growth.
Taking vitamins specifically designed to strengthen and stimulate natural hair growth cycles like HairTopia™ is another great plan of defense.

If you've been trying to naturally grow out your hair and experiencing stalled growth challenges, the cause might be linked to triclosan toxicity in your body.
This is especially true if you've been a big user of anti-bacteria soaps, plastics or hair care and related products which utilize triclosan.
While exposure to triclosan may not be the key culprit for everyone, it certainly needs to be considered as a possibility.  Why?  It's known to cause thyroid and endocrine system deficiencies.
A sluggish thyroid and/or endocrine system has been proven to be a definite factor in slow or stalled natural hair growth.

Introduction - Lightening Fast Hair Growth Lies

I recently visited a famous women's website which has articles on hair and beauty as part of their many content offerings.
The lightening fast hair growth lies promoted in a long list of articles on this famous woman's site included shocking misinformation about hair growth.
The following misinformation about lightening fast hair growth is listed below:

1 Tips on how to make hair grow really fast in one week by only drinking green tea.
2. How to make your hair grow lightening fast with only natural ingredients.
3. Secret fast growth hair masks used by celebrities like Kim Kardashian.
4.  Secret foods for fastest hair growth.
5.  Essential oils which make your hair grow lightening fast.
6.  How to apply {{asin=B0046KG888,text=Mane & Tail}} for instant 3 inch growth.
7.  Hair masks to instantly grow hair.
8.  Grapeseed oil's secret instant hair growth formulas.
9.  Eliminating the natural hair growth process.

Lies, Lies & More Lightening Fast Hair Growth Lies

My own hair would not grow past my shoulders.  Even worse, it was damaged beyond repair.  More than anything else in the world I wanted long healthy hair down to the middle of my back.
I spent a fortune on magazines which promised all the secrets to instant hair growth.  I bought hair care products, oils, herbs and a wide range of vitamins which all promised to give me fast hair growth.
Sadly, none of those products worked for me.  Why?  Because I believe all the hype and downright lies about growing hair lightening last.
Eventually I had a happy ending to my own long hair growth quest.  I found the real answers to healthy hair growth and managed to grow my own hair to my thighs.

Real Truth About Lightening Fast Hair Growth Lies
Listed below are the real truths about lightening fast hair growth:

1.  Genetics - Human hair is genetically determined.  If you've been lucky enough to be born into a great long hair genetic pool it's likely you'll be able to grow beautiful long hair.  If not, you may not.
As a general rule, for those people who are basically healthy and come from a good genetic pool, hair grows at a maximum rate of approximately 1/2 inch per month.

2. Exceptions To Hair Growth Rules - Some lucky people have been known to grow hair as fast as 3/4 to 1 inch per month.  These people are the exceptions to the hair growth rules.
Others have been known to grow hair much slower, or not at all.  These are also the exceptions to the general growth rate of most humans.

3.  Only Hair Extensions Can Add Instant Growth - Nothing has yet to be invented which will grow human hair at lightening speeds.  If someone tells you they grew several inches of hair in a few days, they most likely acquired wigs or had hair extensions applied.

4.  Debunking Green Tea Miracle Hair Growth Promises - Maybe it's possible (although highly unlikely) to grow hair lightening fast by only drinking green tea, but it's more likely to rigger increased hair shedding.
When the human body goes through any period of fasting or detoxification, the normal hair growth cycles may be disrupted and hair may fall faster than it's normal cycle.

5.  Natural Ingredients Don't Accelerate Hair Growth - Many people slather a wide range of natural ingredients on their head and scalp to trigger lightening fast hair growth.
If their hair has hit a cycle of little or no growth, natural ingredients may, in some cases, help to encourage hair to begin growing again.  It is extremely unlikely rubbing raw potatoes or onions on the scalp will make hair grow lightening fast.

6.  Lies About Secret Fast Growth Hair Masks, Foods, Oils & Kim Kardashian - Just as natural ingredients don't accelerate hair growth beyond the traditional 1/2 inch of growth per month, neither will hair masks, foods or oils.
Kim Kardashian may have long lush hair, but it's a commonly known fact in Hollywood and the professional hair world that she wears hair extensions.

7.  Mane'n Tail Myths - Over the last ten years I have read so many myths about {{asin=B0046KG888,text=Mane & Tail}} helping to grow lightening fast hair that I purchased the product to test it myself.  Bottom line, Mane 'n Tail is a product designed to clean hair, not trigger lightening growth.
While it claims to be a horse to human hair formula, if the shampoo actually grew hair lightening fast as many myths promise, it would most likely sell for many times it's current retail value.

8.  Eliminating Natural Hair Growth Cycle - There is no currently known way to eliminate the natural hair growth cycle.
Human hair follows a specific and genetically determined growth cycle.  The growth cycle has three distinct and concurrent phases.  The three phases are anagen, catagen, and telogen.
Each hair growth phase has specific characteristics which determine the ultimate maximum length of the hair. All three phases occur simultaneously. As an example, one strand of hair may be in the anagen phase, while another is in the telogen phase.

9.  Magical, Mystical, Secret Hair Growth Lies - Although the world is bursting with every imaginable oil, pill, salve, ointment and secret formula, human hair which is healthy and in it's optimal growth cycle will grow approximately 1/2" a month.
Beware Of Miracle Products & Lightening Fast Hair Growth Lies
Don't waste your money or secret hair oils, herbal formulations from the Orient or similar lightening fast hair growth products which promise overnight Rapunzel length tresses.
If it sounds too good, it is.  Save your money and be prepared to follow the proven methods of growing long healthy hair 1/2" inch at a time.
Stalled Hair Growth - Lightening Fast Hair Growth Lies
Many people ask me how I grew my own hair from a documented period of stalled hair growth.
Due to a variety of reasons my own hair was stuck in a no growth  cycle and would not grow past the top of my shoulders.
The truth of everything I did to grow long, healthy maintainable hair is listed below:

1.  Eat a super healthy daily diet including proper amounts of proteins, vegetables and hair healthy ingredients.
2.  Take HairTopia hair vitamins which I specifically developed with a chemist to provide my hair with all necessary hair healthy ingredients.
HairTopia is not now, nor has it ever been advertised, as an overnight miracle hair growth supplement.  While it will help support long term healthy hair, roots and scalp, it is not a lightening fast overnight hair growth formula.
The vitamins, amino acids and herbals works slowly over time in harmony with your natural hair growth cycle.  I've been taking this healthy hair promoting vitamin for many years with consistently slow and steady and results.
There are only a few hair healthy vitamins on the market today which I believe are worth the investment.
None of them are miracle overnight growth products.  They will help support healthy hair growth and regeneration over a normal hair cycle.
3.  Drink lots of water every day.
4.  Minimize consumption of caffeine, sugar and empty carbs.  It's hard to do, but it's worth it.
5.  Exercise 3-5x a week by walking on a treadmill or taking a brisk walk outside.
6.  Snack on {{asin=B00016XLN6,text=Nori style seaweed}} which is nutrient rich and good for the scalp and hair roots.
7.  Get 7-9 hours of sleep every night whenever possible.
8.  Minimize stress as much as possible through meditation, yoga and body work.
9.  Have regular acupuncture and rolfing deep tissue treatments to keep my body healthy.

A healthy and balanced body will grow long, strong and beautiful hair.
10.  Minimize use of hot styling tools such as irons, blow dryers, curlers.  I only cleanse my hair 1-2x a month with diluted shampoo product (DS) designed for my hair type, texture and condition.
I also apply a moisturizing rinse-out conditioner focusing the product on the areas of the hair which need TLC on a regular basis between cleansings.  I also do regular hot oil, deep conditioning and gentle scalp treatments.
11.  I religiously trim my splits ends according to the New and Moon cycles and follow safe long hair practices which includes avoiding unfriendly hair accessories or clothing.
I am always open to experimentation with essential oils, DIY hair masks, herbs and homeopathic remedies.
However, I honestly don't believe there is any magic available, at this time, which will grow lightening fast hair overnight.

Summary - Lightening Fast Hair Growth Lies

Human hair when growing at it's optimal genetically pre-determined rate will only grow approximately 1/2" per month on the average.
Some people may be able to grow hair slightly faster and some may grow hair slightly slower.
Hair may grow slightly faster or slower depending upon other factors such as time of the year, environment, weather, stress, illness or other factors which can cause hair growth to stall or encourage accelerated hair fallout.
There is no such thing as magic oils, herbs, pills, potions, creams or similar which will trigger lightening fast hair growth.
If you have been promised lightening fast hair growth if you purchase a product, you may be spending your hard earned money on false promises.
Real products which may support healthy long hair growth take time, often 30-90 days to begin to show consistent new growth results along with regular long term commitment and daily effort.  If someone promises you lightening fast hair growth and it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Hair Vitamins: Water and Hair Growth

Hair Vitamins: Water and Hair Growth

In our ongoing search for a miracle fast hair growing product we often reach for hair vitamins, but skimp on another very important ingredient.
Water is a natural miracle ingredient which supports hair vitamin consumption while assisting in healthy and efficient hair growth.
Did I say water?  Yes indeed.  If you're going to make the emotional, mental, financial and long term commitment to take hair growth vitamins, it's important you also be prepared to crank up your daily water consumption.
Water is essential for proper hair growth.  Be sure to get plenty of that H2O for growing healthy hair that is soft, supple and lush.
Water makes up approximately one fourth of the weight of a strand of hair and when hair has the proper amount of water, it will respond by being supple, and shiny.
Drink a minimum of 8 to 10 glasses (8 ounce serving) of water a day to get gleaming healthy tresses.

Dehydration Directly Impacts Hair Growth
The human body is generally composed of approximately 60-80% water.  When deprived of adequate water to sustain cell health and reproduction, the body becomes dehydrated, which directly impacts consistent and/or healthy hair growth.
You can be sucking down fistfuls of hair vitamins and related hair growth supplements, but if you're not downing enough H2O to meet your body's daily minimal needs, the cells which drive hair growth will not reproduce and your hair will become parched.  It's natural growth cycle may slow down or even stop completely.
On a regular day, the average human body loses 2 to 3 quarts of water.  While water is lost through sweat, urine and other waste removal processes, it's also lost in a number of other ways.  Human skin has a high concentration of water which is constantly evaporating in tiny air-borne droplets.

Healthy Hair From The Inside Out
Like skin, hair needs lubrication from the inside out.  If your hair roots are deficient in adequate water levels your tresses will eventually become dry, brittle and may stop growing at your maximum genetic rate.
Even worse, hair which is deprived of proper daily water supplies may stop growing completely.
The roots of the hair are the means by which water is transported from the body.  Roots soak up what water they can and provide hydration to the rest of the hair.
Human hair is an appendage of the skin.  The actual hair we can see flowing from the roots consists of keratin, which is a protein in the skin.
All hair grows directly from the roots, which is situated deep in a layer of skin known as the dermis.  Hair roots may extend quite deeply into the skin.
Hair, which has its base inside the skin, contains cells which are nourished by water and blood from inside the body.  As a result, these nurtured cells divide and grow hair.

Benefits Of Water For Your Hair
Water is life.  It's the natural regulator of all physiological functions.
How does water regulate all physical functions?  By controlling the following body functions:

 - Cellular Activity - Water is the key source of energy for every single cell of the body including the cells which drive hair growth and overall health.

 - Generating electrical and magnetic energy - Water provides the core power to sustain life through hydrolysis.

 - Activates all the nerve endings & sensors in scalp & skin - The scalp and roots of the hair have many photosensitive and energy-sensitive nerve endings which receive and transmit signals.  Water energizes the nerve endings so they are more responsive, thus enhancing the natural vitality of the skin and hair roots.

 - Flushes free radicals - Water acts as an antioxidant by flushing free radicals out through the kidneys.  This is the basic way the human brain cells eliminate excess hydrogen ions produced by hydrolysis and maintain an alkaline environment.

Membranes Which Cover All Cells

Lack of proper daily water supplies creates another problem with the membranes which cover all cells including skin cells, which cover the scalp and impact hair roots.
There are two very distinct membrane layers.  In a well-hydrated membrane, water serves both as adhesive material and as a type of passageway between the layers for enzyme activity.
In a dehydrated membrane, cholesterol takes over to prevent further loss of water and thus obstructs the waterways and its potential to deliver chemicals and nutrients.
Potentially, cholesterol takeover, can negatively impact hair health and growth.

Preventing Dehydration For Healthy Hair

The best way to avoid dehydration of your body, skin and hair is to drink lots of water, especially on hot, dry and windy days.
Water is always the very best option as compared to other liquids such as juice, tea, coffee or soft drinks.
Caffeine is a diuretic which makes you urinate more frequently and thus depletes your water sources even faster than normal.  Experts believe for every 8 ounces of coffee you should drink two 8 ounces of water.
The amount of water which is required by every individual is dependent on a number of factors ranging from how much water is absorbed from food and how much sweat is produced from physical exertion.
Always plan to add more water when you are ill, exercising or spending time in a hot climate.

How Much Water Do You Need Every Day?

Determining how much water everyone needs on a daily basis is not a simple matter.  Depending on the person and their level of activity, the amount of water needed varies.
The Institute of Medicine evaluated national food surveys which analyzed people's average fluid intake.  Based on their findings they recommended that men consume an average of 3 liters or 13 cups of total beverages a day.
Women were advised to consume 2.2 liters or approximately 9 cups of total beverages a day.
It's generally believed if you drink between 8 and 9 cups of water per day, feel well, and produce a normal amount of colorless or slightly yellow urine, you're probably meeting your daily water needs.
When you meet your daily water needs you're successfully contributing to the development of healthy roots and tresses.  You're also helping any hair vitamins you're taking achieve maximum success.
Remember, additional water should be consumed if you regularly drink coffee, tea, alcohol or other water draining liquids.
Exercise helps to redistribute water, but the more you exercise, the more water you should drink to compensate for water loss through sweat.

Dehydration & Hair Problems

It's currently believed as much as 60% of current diseases could be avoided by drinking enough water and balancing it with enough salt.
It's also believed drinking enough water can eliminate a lot of hair and scalp challenges including dandruff and hair thinning.
In addition, it's believed the list of potential diseases which are directly or indirectly related to lack of water in the body include (but are not limited to) the following:

 - angina
 - morning sickness
 - rheumatoid arthritis
 - painful colitis
 - diabetes
 - Alzheimer's disease
 - cancer
 - multiple sclerosis
 - allergies
 - high sensitivity to pain

Other Symptoms Of Dehydration

Edema or body puffiness may appear when mild to severe dehydration is present.
When water is not available to flow freely to the cells, it's filtered from the salty supply outside the cells.
Then it's injected into overworked cells which can result in water retention.
Other water intake and distribution regulators such as prostaglandins, kinins and PAF (another histamin-assocate agent) may cause pain whey they come across pain-sensing nerves in the body.
Ironically pain - other than caused by injury - can also be a crisis signal of water shortage in the body.

How Body Determine Water Supply Priorities

How does the body determine priorities when its water supply is insufficient?
The body has a very sophisticated water distribution system.  This system assures an adequate amount of water, along with the hormones, chemical messengers and nutrients water carries - is first provided to the most vital organs - such as the brain and heart.
The skin is one of the major organs of the body and water is essential to the workings of its cells.  If the body's overall water supply falls short, the skin may have to wait until other organs receive their ration of water first.

The Brain Always Has Highest Priority

The same is true with the hair roots.  As an example, the brain is 85% water.  While constituting only 1/50th the weight of our body, the brain gets 20% of all the blood which is pumped by the heart.
In fact, the brain is the final governor of water rationing to every cell and organ of the human body.  Each organ monitors its own water supply and release, but only according to constantly changing quotas which are set by the brain.

Hair Dehydration

There are other factors in hair dehydration.  The surface skin which composes the human scalp that houses hair roots is made up of a thicker tissue than the interior tissues of the body.
Circulation flows to the base of the skin which covers the scalp and the hair roots.  Water has to seep upwards through all the layers of the skin to reach the outer layers.
Hair must receive adequate water through its roots or the supply will fall short of reaching budding layers.
The exposed surface of hair roots are constantly losing water due to environmental factors such as sun, wind, hard water, and chemicals.  In essence this natural water loss creates a type of double jeopardy.
When the body is dehydrated, circulation to the base of the outer skin, the scalp and hair roots, may be shut down as an emergency measure by the body's drought management system.
The drought management system works to make sure water is not lost through evaporation from the skin's surface.

Gray Skin Coloring Plus Formation Of Wrinkles

If circulation to the base of the skin is shut down, one symptom may be the development of a gray coloring to the skin.  Next the cells of the skin gradually lose structure.  The skin cells may transition from rosy and plump to a pinched, prune-like state.  Chronic dehydration also shows in the face with wrinkles, lines and furrows.  Skin may also become very dry.
Proper water intake on a regular basis can prevent or reverse the process of dehydration.  When the skin is fully hydrated the circulation to the skin also increases.  The result is a rosy complexion.
Failure to recognize the body's many signals of dehydration may trick us into thinking there's no problem.  Thirst or a dry mouth is not the only way to determine if we're hydrated.

Is Your Body Hydrated?

Failure to recognize the body's many signals of dehydration may trick us into thinking there's no problem.
Thirst or dry mouth is not the only way to determine if you are dehydrated.
In fact, saliva will flow even if the body is approaching a state of dehydration.  Why?  Because the system of rationing water is based on priorities, with certain areas shutting down and other areas allowed their rations.  The body has no storage reservoir for water.
What you drink throughout the day is what you get.  The body's emergency mechanisms simply shift the water from one place to another.

Coffee, Soft Drinks & Alcohol Does Not Quench Thirst

With stressful, fast-paced lifestyles, we may opt for beverages such as coffee, soft drinks, and alcohol instead of pure water.  We may think we're quenching our body's thirst.

In reality caffeinated drinks make things worse by forcing water out of the body, creating an even greater need to compensate with more water.

Excess insulin which is released to respond to sugary drinks and snacks also dries out the body and robs it of much needed water.  Certain medications, especially diuretics, contribute to the onset of dehydration.

The body adapts to this continual water shortage by rationing in survival mode.  A little at a time, many of the body's organs and systems become used to being chronically dehydrated.

The brain may respond to the stress of dehydration by producing endorphins, the body's opiate-like substance, to make a person endure the hardships or thirst while the underlying problem goes unattended.

Symptoms Of Dehydration

Although a key symptom of dehydration is thirst, being thirsty is not always the first warning sign.  By the time most people feel thirsty they may be already dehydrated.

Other symptoms of dehydration include the following:

Dry or sticky mouth
Feeling dizzy, lightheaded or off-balance
Darker urine or urine with strong odor
Less urge to urinate or producing very little urine
General muscle weakness
Overall fatigue
Headache
As dehydration worsens, you may experience a worsening of the symptoms as the body's organs become more impacted.

Summary
Even mild dehydration, which is as little as one to two percent loss of your body weight, can sap energy, make you feel tired and cause skin, hair roots and strands to dry out.

Water is the key to healthy, happy hair growth and maintenance.  It's also an important ingredient to help hair vitamins be as successful as possible.  Build healthy hair from the inside out with water.  Drink up.
